1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Penske Trans Am Racer

• The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Penske Trans Am Racer, owned by Roger Penske and the team, was used in the 24 Hours Daytona race back in '68. Behind the wheel, Mark Donohue finished second in the race, and for the rest of the season, the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was used by Sam Posey, who had a few podium finishes over the course of the year. The success and the popularity of the Chevrolet sports cars in the SCCA Trans-Am series only made this car more collectible. Auctioned at RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island in 2016, it was sold for a staggering figure of $990,000.
